Words are powerful… God spoke in the world into existence.

I believe that words can build up as well as tear down.

It is very difficult when a harsh word is spoken to us or a lie spoken against us. What is our response to this? We need to remember that we are God’s children and God doesn’t desire that we fight among each other.

I want you to know that I have seen lots of people hurting on Faith Freaks, and I have also seen lives changed for good. Its hurts my heart to see young people who have given their lives to the Lord in pain and being emotional or verbally hurt.

So how then should we respond? What are we to do when our hearts are broken or when a false or harsh words are spoken against us>?

First we give it to the Lord the psalmist says Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall. 55:22

The second we forgive this is important and can lead to healing Mark 11 says “But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, “

This is a difficult step but I know it is necessary, As much as I desire to see God’s plans work out in your life (and they are huge)! I know that God is with you and will continue to work in your heart and you live.

I love this verse:

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things. Phil 4:8

So I urge you to start with your heart. and ask the Lord for help.

    Hi. I read you blog and the verse about cast your cares on Him really stood out to me. It says he wouldn’t let us fall. I have been consistently bring several requests to him with no change or movement in sight. I have been going through difficult times for nearly three years. I have to wonder, just when is God going to stop me from falling, and my whole family as well?

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith the salvation of your souls.
